Founded in 1987 by producer Michael Brenner under the name BB Promotion – The Art of Entertainment, the group is now one of the leading firms providing high quality live entertainment in Europe. Based in Mannheim, Germany, the group’s field of responsibility and line of business includes directing concerts in the region, facilitating national and international tours of musical theatre productions as well as premieres of German productions.

Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, Bruce Springsteen, Queen, Sting, Coldplay, Celine Dion, Neil Diamond and many more besides have worked with the company to present concerts in western Germany. The group’s musical theatre portfolio, which includes a mixture of in-house and co-productions, includes: West Side Story (2003-2008), the new production of Richard O’Brien’s Rocky Horror Show (2008), Chicago (2005), The Original Broadway Swing! (1998), Rent (2000, 2007), Queen Esther Marrow and The Harlem Gospel Singers (since 1987), Stomp! (since 1997), Yamato – The Drummers of Japan (since 2002) and Tanguera (since 2007). As well as touring productions Michael Brenner produced Grease for the Capitol Theatre in Dusseldorf (1994-96), Saturday Night Fever (1998-2006) and the musical We Will Rock You in collaboration with Queen (Cologne, Zurich, Vienna, Stuttgart, Berlin).

The company acquired a reputation as an innovative producer of high-class ballet and dance shows by contracting international stars such as Rudolf Nureyev and Mikhail Baryshnikov and by representing important dance companies including: Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Martha Graham Dance Company and Ballet Nacional de España.

In these extensive and strategic partnerships, the company’s many services include marketing, merchandising, special/ corporate events and technical set-ups. BB Group has created partnerships internationally with theatres and concert and opera houses to ensure the conception, implementation and marketing of live entertainment is both competent and focused on its target-groups.
